Kinnow is a hybrid cultivar of mandarin, developed by crossing the “King” and “Willow Leaf” varieties. Introduced to the Subcontinent from California, USA, in 1943-44, it was first planted at the Punjab Agricultural College and Research Institute, Lyallpur (now the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad). Over the decades, Kinnow has gained immense popularity for its:
